Refugees who could not fight had to be evacuate from their planet to Ord mantell. Leia helps the evacuees. Some families have been separated, while others were having food shortages. Diseases were spreading.
While on Ord mantell, Leia tries to convince the leaders to move the evacuees to saftey, the council did not wish to have refugees in their tourist areas.
When Leia, her Nohgri bodyguard and C3PO exit the council chambers, they head downstairs. Downstairs, where they headed, there's these droids rushing around. C3PO relays that the yuuzongvong have targetted Ordmantle for destruction. They find this out because two Yuuzhan vong have been captured, one male priest, and a one female preistess.
The Repiblic is that entire galexy and those Yuuzhan vong are telepathic. They know that every planet is inhabitted. They are searching for the Jedi. They are destroying all the unclean. [meaning the Jedi] They hate the Jedi. The must cleanse the galaxy of these jedi filth. Those yuuz sacrifice people for this cleansing. They have learned about the Sith thinking them to be possible allies. [this is getting sick and evil!]
When that is hapening Han and Roa are searching for a certain traitor. Next stop, Ord mantell. Thoughts of his wife make Han laugh. While Han is on Ord mantell they visit in a bar. Two Trandoshans walk towards them. It was Bossk, the bountyhunter. They know one another. Bossk had been hired to hunt Han down. [remember the carbonite freeze?] Bossk asks, "Whatever happened to that Wookie that used to follow you around everywhere?"And that is what started a fist fight. [remember Chuubakka has died- but it took a moon crashing down to kill him]
The planet has been targetted and now, both Han and Leia are on the ill-fated planet.
